The man Maximous Addae Mensah aka Dr Pounds, known for his
penchant for promoting music made in Ghana is yet to commence another
programme which will blow the minds of music lovers. Though many Pluzz
fm lovers know him to be the man behind the good music selection on
Pluzz fm`s drive time programme Eazy Drive, he has decided to remain a
silent DJ for only God knows why. Time will tell though.
Whilst we were waiting for him to start his “Donkomi” business on the
drive time programme, the affable Fante man Dr Pounds had different
plans for his huge followers. On Saturday December 7th from 3pm – 7pm,
he is starting a new rap music show he calls HIP HOP GH. where he will
be inviting versatile rap musicians to his Santa Maria based studio to
battle it out among them. “Mind you guys, this is not a competition but a promotion for our rap artistes who are doing marvelous to help our
rap music industry. We need to give them the platform to shine at all times and this is what I intend to do for the rest of the days I will be spending with Pluzz 89.9 fm” Pounds told Flexghana.com.
Hip Hop Gh will premiere just this Saturday after the back in the day concert organized by Empire Entertainment. He tells www.flexghana.com that, occasionally he will be inviting industry experts through his programme to advise wanna bee musicians on trends and directions in the music industry.
“ I am therefore using this platform to invite all good rappers in the country to get in touch with my production team to show music lovers what they have been hiding all this while. Join me this Saturday 7th December between the hours of 3-7pm and let`s make it happen like never before. This is GH music and I believe we can make it better. This is the time to throw more light on our musicians to shine brighter” he added.
Meanwhile, another entertainment review show will also be premiered on Sunday 15th December between 3-5pm and that is also expected to put together some of the deep brains in the industry on one platform. It will be hosted by the hard working managing editor of Flex newspaper Samuel A. Baah aka Sammy Flex. He promises to push this show a notch higher when he starts. Pluzz 89.9 fm is about to get better people!!!
